  • Educational Content: Student-created artwork, music, lyrics, and other creative projects
  • Usage Data: How students interact with the platform (for improving educational outcomes)

2. How We Protect Student Data

2.1 Teacher Approval Workflow

All student-generated content must be approved by a teacher before it can be published or shared beyond the classroom. This ensures:

  • Age-appropriate content creation
  • Protection from inappropriate AI-generated content
  • Educational alignment with curriculum goals

2.2 Technical Safeguards

  • Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard protocols
  • Access Controls: Role-based access ensures students can only see their own content and teacher-approved materials
  • Data Minimization: We collect only what is necessary for educational purposes
  • Secure Infrastructure: Our platform is hosted on SOC 2 compliant infrastructure

2.3 AI Content Safety

  • AI-generated content is filtered through safety systems before reaching students
  • All AI tools are configured with age-appropriate content restrictions
  • Teachers maintain oversight of all AI-assisted creations

3. Information for Teachers and Schools

3.1 What We Collect

  • Account Information: Name, email address, school affiliation, role
  • Administrative Data: Class rosters, approval decisions, feedback on student work
  • Usage Analytics: Platform engagement for improving educational tools

3.2 School Agreements

Schools using Art Official Idol must agree to our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy. We sign Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with school districts upon request.

4. How We Use Information

We use collected information only to:

  • Enable teacher supervision and approval workflows
  • Ensure platform safety and security
  • Communicate with schools about their accounts

6. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Student data is retained only as long as the student has an active account with their school
  • When a student graduates or leaves, schools may request data deletion
  • Schools can export student portfolios before account closure
  • Deleted data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days

7. Your Rights

7.1 Parents and Guardians

  • Review your child's personal information by contacting their school
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your child's account and data
  • Refuse further collection (note: this may require discontinuing use of the platform)

7.2 Schools and Teachers

  • Access and export student data at any time
  • Request data deletion for individual students or classes
  • Manage student accounts and permissions

8. California Residents

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). Contact us to exercise your rights.

9. International Users

Art Official Idol is based in the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
